The variety of functions of the LSM 510 META opens completely new ways for you to conduct your investigations, free from the restrictions of existing systems. Dyes that change their spectral signature in the course of time and dependent on processes inside the cell, such as FRET pairs or various ion indicators, can now be studied easily. Dye combinations whose components could not be distinguished so far because of widely overlapping emission spectra, e.g. CFP, GFP and YFP, or even GFP and FITC, can now be separated.
