Optical biometry for the anterior segment of the eye

Poised for the Future

The development of new IOL technologies is expanding the field of refractive surgery more and more. It is no longer limited to laser procedures. Growing demands on postoperative results go hand in hand with higher demands on the quality of preoperative examinations. Precise biometry, even under different accommodation conditions, is a pre-requisite for the implantation of accommodative IOL, anterior chamber phakic lenses and intra-corneal lenses. Even your cataract patients have increasingly higher demands on the quality of their vision. As a result, cataract surgery is increasingly becoming refractive surgery. The ACMaster allows you to optimally adjust your work to these trends.

Exact measurements without compromise

Corneal thickness
The ACMaster delivers exact corneal thickness before the LASIK procedure. Along with central corneal thickness, decentral corneal thickness at various points can also be determined, relieving you of any surprises during LASIK. Furthermore, the measured central corneal thickness can be used to correct intraocular pressure measured with applanation tonometry.

Precise measurement of the anterior chamber depth
Exact knowledge of anterior chamber depth is a pre-requisite for phakic IOL implantation. Measurements with the ACMaster tell you exactly how much room is available for phakic IOL in the anterior chamber. The possibility of decentral measurements is also given. As a result, you minimize the danger of postoperative damage to endothelial cells and lenses as a result of contact with the IOL.

Measuring under accommodation
Fixation marks for the patients can also be displayed in finite distances. This accommodation stimulus enables measurement of the anterior chamber depth and lens thickness under various accommodation conditions. Following implantation of phakic and accommodative IOL, lens movement is optimally evaluated.

Exact determination of lens thickness
Measuring lens thickness allows an exact calculation of intraocular lenses. The ACMaster allows precise determination of lens thickness under various accommodation conditions. Even measuring the thickness of an IOL is easily possible, for example, before a lens exchange.

Determination of WTW (white to white)
The ACMaster permits fast and precise measurement of the horizontal diameter of the iris. Along with the pure white-to-white value, the instrument also delivers the deviation of the visual axis relative to the mid-point of the iris and the pupil.

Easy to use. Reliable results.

With partial coherence interferometry (PCI), the principle of the ACMaster is based on the same technology as the IOLMaster® – a synonym for precision and reproducibility. By using a non-contact procedure, a local anesthetic is not required. The danger of transmitting infections from patient to patient, as well as the danger of corneal lesions, was eliminated. Intuitive user guidance and simple instrument set up make the ACMaster a user-friendly device. Error sources were eliminated with the automatic left/right recognition and display of false measurements.

CAUTION: Investigational device. Limited by United States law to investigational use. Not commercially available in the United States.
