The planetarium named after Galileo is situated in one of the most attractive places of the Argentine capital, the "Tres de Febrero" park. The building, designed by the Argentine architect Enrique Jan, has lost nothing of its artistic appeal. The imposing dome rests on what looks like three giant spring legs raising it above the ground. In addition to the star theater as the main attraction, the building houses a museum and exhibitions. The institution is run by the municipality of Buenos Aires, and the majority of visitors are school children.
